Grapes are Sour- Stop Motion
Grapes are Sour is a stop-motion film, made as a 5th semester classroom project. It reveals today’s increasing capitalist divides through a loved children fable.

Overview
This was a result of a 3-week long stopmotion course in our 5th semester done by our group of 12 students, guided by Shravan Arvind and Trisha Banerjee. The last week of production had to be halted due to unforeseen COVID-19 lockdown. Shots were adjusted to accomodate for this situation and a first cut was made.
The Idea
Reimagining The Fox and the Grapes as a fable for a world shaped by unequal access and unchecked ambition. The fox, determined and hopeful, tries everything to reach for a bunch of grapes (opportunity, success). But no matter how clever or committed he is, he falls short. Just as he clings to the hope of a miracle, a crow—wings wide with privilege—descends effortlessly, snatches the grapes, and turns them into a thriving business. The film lays bare the quiet tragedy of merit in a world where the ladder’s already tilted.
